Tridion WebForms empowers online users to answer back.

Netherlands -19 April 2005  - Tridion, the recognised European leader of Content Management Solutions, today announces the launch of Tridion WebForms™, a software tool for creating, updating and rapidly deploying online forms. This new product has been specifically developed to exploit the power of online Web forms and help businesses move towards relational communications – intelligent, targeted and accurate communication with online audiences.

Tridion WebForms dramatically improves the way companies are able to communicate with their audiences by allowing web editors to concentrate on just the forms they want to deliver. As business rules and presentation are already defined, the need for support and intervention from the IT department is reduced. It is also possible to integrate WebForms with back-office systems, automated email responders and CRM systems. Any changes that have to be made to an online form after the initial rollout can be instantly made by the Web editor without having to involve their IT resource.

In practice, this might mean adding a short explanatory text to a part of the form that users find confusing. Alternatively, following analysis of user activity, it may be necessary to reorder or rephrase individual elements of a form to ensure accurate data capture. This enables companies to react more quickly and reliably to requests, and maintain and build trust with customers.

“Web forms are now being integrated into many Web sites and the number of businesses using these forms to communicate with their Web audiences is rising fast,” says Jaco van Wilgenburgh, Director of Marketing, Tridion. “But many of these businesses are still unable to derive maximum benefit from these forms – they’re not set up to react to customer input – or lack of it. Tridion WebForms addresses this challenge and allows companies to rapidly adjust or reconfigure web forms, without needing to involve the IT department.
