News | Tridion cements success with new CEO

Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Tridion, Europe’s leading enterprise Web content management (EWCM) specialist, has appointed Pieter Varkevisser as chief executive officer. Based in Amsterdam, Varkevisser will build on the organisation’s strong results and good customer relationships, whilst harnessing the local expertise of regional offices at a corporate level.


Formerly CEO of Data Distilleries, Varkevisser brings over 20 years’ experience in software and product development to the role. His international career has included a number of European management positions for companies such as Exact Holding, Cayenne Software and Cadre Technologies.


“In the past three years, Tridion has proved it is a leader in the European content management market, with high-profile customers across its network of public and private sector organisations,” said Pieter Varkevisser, CEO at Tridion. “It is a great time to join the team, which is poised to continue its growth in the industry. Tridion has recently launched a new suite of products to make content management a more accessible proposition for corporates and I’m looking forward to developing the direction of the company further.”


Roland Slot, founder, who served as interim CEO will remain at Tridion as Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
