RELOCATION OF SIENNAX UTILITY PLATFORM ALMOST FINISHED

From 18 December 2004 onwards all services of Siennax are being rendered from a new data centre. During the third and the fourth quarter of last year the entire server park of Siennax has been moved from the old location in Amsterdam Zuid-Oost to the new location in Schiphol-Rijk. Furthermore, Siennax' infrastructure has been renewed completely. At the new location all systems have been placed in a Cisco environment on GB standard that can be virtualised completely. An extensive logistical operation that has caused no unplanned downtime for our customers.

The data centre in Schiphol-Rijk has been certified according to the BS 7799 standard and offers Siennax' customers the security of a fully redundant power supply from the high-tension net, redundant emergency power supply like generators and UPS, redundant air-conditioning, early detection fire prevention, 24/7 site security and operational support.

Siennax' new infrastructure has been completely based on Cisco technology and set up according to the so-called “core-edge” topology. All network components have been implemented redundantly. Combined with clustered application architectures, Siennax offers her customers an infrastructure with no more “single point of failure” present.
