PTV invests in technology companies having high market potential. Next to its financial investments, PTV actively supports the companies management. This is a valuable addition since PTV is quite experienced in expanding companies to dominant market players. Sake Bosch, Managing Partner Prime Technology Ventures: "We expect quite a lot of Human Inference. The company is the market leader within the Benelux countries. With its unique products Human Inference has great opportunities for a fast international expansion." At this stage, Prime Technology Ventures invests 3.5 million euros in the company.

Human Inference develops intelligent software technology to secure and enhance the quality of relationship data. Companies use the software to identify, validate and manipulate their relationship data. The application areas of Human Inference software increase the efficiency of direct marketing campaigns as well as of fraud detection and identification at call centres and  are essential in carrying out a CRM strategy. The software is aimed at optimising the communication and interaction between companies and their relations.

Human Inference was founded in 1986 and has more than sixty employees. Next to the office in Arnhem, The Netherlands, the company has offices in Germany and Belgium. Human Inference offers solutions to banks, insurance companies, publishing houses, and government and public services. Among its customers are such names as ABN AMRO Bank, ING Bank, Deutsche Telekom, Allianz, KPN Telecom andWolters Kluwer.

Human Inference develops its intelligent software and underlying knowledge independently. Software engineers and language specialists work side by side to deliver high quality products. By means of knowledge, rules and meta-knowledge the software simulates human reasoning. This makes it possible, for instance, to easily find a person in a database, to format a name correctly, or standardise an address despite the source data containing mistakes or omissions.

Prime Technology Ventures (www.ptv.com) is a leading venture capital firm with offices in the Netherlands and the UK. PTV invests in European technology companies with high potential and focuses on supporting the management during the periods of (international) expansion. PTV raised more than 120 million euros under management by a group of leading institutional investors.
