MarketXS takes first prize in Deloitte Technology Fast 50 award 2005

MarketXS has become this year's winner of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Award. The awards ceremony took place in Media Plaza in Utrecht on 22nd September.
Established in 1999, MarketXS is a leading provider of real-time market
data technology and trading solutions and has seen aggregate growth in
revenue of 7,308 per cent over the past five years.
In second place on the list of the 50 fastest growers was TomTom, the
leading provider of navigation solutions that listed its stock on
Euronext earlier in the year, with a growth percentage of 6,107%. Third
was Coolblue, the online retailer for consumer electronics, with a 4,712%
growth.
The Technology Fast 50 programme, organised for the sixth time by
accounting and consulting firm Deloitte in partnership with ING Bank,
Euronext and FEM Business, recognises and ranks the fastest-growing
technology companies in the Netherlands based on percentage revenue
growth over a five year period.
Various criteria apply to participation in the Technology Fast 50
competition. Eligible are technology companies that are in business for a
minimum of five years, develop proprietary technology and have their
headquarters in the Netherlands. Operating revenues must be at least
Euros 50,000 for 2000.
The Technology Fast 50 competition in the Netherlands is part of a
worldwide programme for growth companies in the technology sector. The
Fast 50 Awards were started in San Jose, California in 1995, and have now
expanded world wide to incorporate nine countries and regions, including
the UK, France, Germany, Central Europe, the Netherlands, Asia-Pacific,
Israel, and Australia. All regional Fast 50 winners in Europe, Middle
East & Africa are also nominated into the Technology Fast 500 EMEA
program. The results of the 2005 Technology EMEA Fast 500 ranking will be
announced on 30 November 2005 in London.
