3mensio Medical Imaging Announces the Launch of 3viseon™ SD1710 stereoscopic
software application.

Today 3mensio Medical Imaging BV announces the first release of a 3viseon™ SD1710 stereoscopic application as an extension to the existing 3viseon™ product line.
The 3viseon ™ product line consists of software products being used on standard PCs to visualize 3D images based on volumetric datasets derived from CT and MR. The latest application of the 3viseon™ product family, 3viseon™ SD1710 stereoscopic application, will be used in combination with the recently released stereoscopic display of PLANAR SYSTEMS (www.planar.com).
The 3viseon™ SD1710 stereoscopic application has been designed for both viewing and advanced 3D manipulations of medical images and can be used both inside and outside the radiology department.
The software combined with the advanced 17 inch display SD1710 using StereoMirror™ technology from PLANAR SYSTEMS, is available as a turn-key solution which will add depth to the medical images. By adding this additional dimension, healthcare professionals can be better prepared for surgical procedures based on pre- or post-operative CT or MR image data.

The 3viseon™ SD1710 stereoscopic system will be distributed by both companies and introduced during the 91st RSNA meeting in Chicago from 27th November – 1st December 2005, at both the 3mensio booth (#7370) and the Planar booth (#8308).
