3mensio Medical Imaging announces 2.0 release of 3viseon™
Bilthoven, The Netherlands – November 1st, 2005 –
Today 3mensio Medical Imaging BV announces the official 2.0 release of their flagship 3D visualization product 3viseon™.
3viseon™ is a software application which enables large medical datasets, generated by CT and MR scanners, to be displayed as 3-dimensional reconstructions using standard PC technology.
From its introduction on the RSNA 2004, 3viseon™ has been enriched by new functionalities that enables both radiologists as well as referring physicians to rapidly process the generated DICOM images.

3viseon™ 2.0 has been integrated with major PACS vendors so the benefits of 3D visualization can be introduced within the established workflow. According to radiologists, who have been using the 3viseon product, this additional functionality on their own workstation is a real timesaver.
The rapid 3viseon™ development will also be beneficial to referring physicians in the field of neurological, oncologic, or vascular surgery where 3D is an increasingly important part in the operative planning process and communication to the patients.
Developing specific applications for referring physicians will become an integral part of the product strategy for 3mensio Medical Imaging BV.
